what is glass fusing?
Glass fusing is a technique which involves heating sheets of glass in a kiln until it becomes molten. The layers melt together, then cool to create a gorgeous, unique design. And don’t worry — we’ll do the hot stuff for you! Once you’ve put your fused glass design together, it comes back to the molten wonky studio, where we fire it.
is DIY glass fusing suitable for beginners?
We’ve made sure our glass fusing kits are suitable for beginners, as well as glass art enthusiasts. Every fused glass kit contains:
- Easy-to-follow instructions guiding you through how to make fused glass art
- Templates
- Paper for your fused glass design ideas
- Lots of lovely glass fragments, frits and stringers
- PVA glue so you can stick everything together
You simply need to stick the glass pieces to your templates however you like, leave it to dry, then send it back to us for firing in the kiln. We’ll then return your finalised fused glass decoration to you.

Our make-at-home glass fusing kits are designed for adults. While older children can enjoy using a DIY fused glass kit when under supervision, we do not recommend our kits for young children. Each fused art kit contains raw, unfired glass, which can be sharp.
When using your fused glass kit, please take care handling the fragments, and make sure you thoroughly wipe down and clean your workspace once done.
