new event: molten wonky’s studio glass night

Hello to all of our lovely, creative, fused-glass-loving souls! We’re back again with another blog, but this time it’s to share the exciting news about one of our newest offerings — the studio glass night. We can’t wait to tell you all about it!
We hope that this becomes an enchanting experience for everyone who attends. These evening craft events will be a delightful blend of creativity, good laughs, a bit of learning, and, of course, the essential touch of wonkiness that makes your fused glass creation one-of-a-kind.
If these BYOB craft events at our Essex studio sound like your cup of tea (don’t forget,you can bring any drink you wish — it doesn’t have to be alcoholic!), then here’s everything you need to know before you buy your ticket.
When will the studio glass night be?
It’s time to mark your diaries! We will be hosting our studio glass nights on Thursday April 25th, Thursday June 6th, and Thursday July 18th.
What to expect from the studio glass night
As the name suggests, our studio glass night is an evening affair — designed for those seeking a healthy dose of fun, relaxation, and artistic expression. Whether you wish to sip on a cuppa or something stronger, you’re guaranteed to walk away with your own colourful fused glass decoration.
Here's a sneak peek of what you can expect…
1. Booking and arrival
To secure your spot on one of our fused glass craft evenings, click here. Sooner is always better than later as seats are limited. I wish the studio could seat hundreds, but unfortunately that’s impossible!
To reserve your seat you’ll need to pay a non-refundable £5 fee. Once you’re all booked in, rock up to the Essex molten wonky studio between 6 pm and 7 pm and let’s get ready to kick off the evening's festivities!
2. Time to get crafty
Whether you're an experienced glass artist or a curious crafty beginner, we welcome anyone aged 16+ to our Studio Glass Night.
Once you’ve found your designated seat (don’t worry — you can sit in pairs or groups if you wish!), we'll guide you through the fascinating process of designing and creating your fused glass decorations for a taste of what’s to come throughout the event.
3. Choose your design
Here comes the start of the fun. It’s now time to decide from our fabulous fused glass decoration templates:
- Picture
- Coaster
- Bird
- Rainbow
- Sun-Catcher
- Heart
- Christmas Tree
- Bauble
These templates are all £20 each, 2 for £35, 3 for £50 or 4 for £65.

Or for a fused glass masterpiece, you can craft even bigger pieces of fused glass art. Please note that these pieces start from £60.00:

5. Payment
The cost of the BYOB event is simply the price of whatever you choose to create, minus your £5 booking fee.
Payment options on the night include cash, card, or BACS payment. Once your masterpiece is complete, it will undergo the magical transformation in our kiln and be ready for collection the following week. If you can't pick it up, don't worry — we’ll happily and securely post it to you for an additional £5.
