what can I make with this rainbow glass bird decoration kit?
With this glass fusing kit, you can create a fused glass bird hanging decoration measuring approximately 10 x 13 cm (not including those delightfully dangly legs we add later!) — all from the comfort of your own home.
You’ll get to use a variety of rainbow-toned glass fragments and rods to design a bird that is bold, bright, and marvellously unique.

Open your kit box, and you’ll find everything you need to bring your fused glass bird to life.
- Step-by-step instructions
- Paper for sketching your rainbow bird design (optional — you can go freehand if you wish!)
- PVA glue and lolly stick for application
- An array of colourful glass frits, rods, and fragments
- Tweezers for placing the fiddly glass pieces
- A clear glass template for your rainbow wonky bird
- Name and return address slip (you’ll need to send your decoration back to us so we can fire it in the kiln!)

how to use your rainbow wonky bird glass fusing kit
When your kit arrives, carefully unpack its contents onto a clean work surface. You’ll also want to keep any packaging handy, as you’ll need it to return your decoration back to our studio for firing.
Ready to get crafting? Follow the simple steps below to give your rainbow fused glass bird some wings…
- Sketch your rainbow bird design onto the sketching paper provided. Choose from stripes, colour blocks, patterns, or go straight to the next step if you prefer a freehand approach.
- Place the glass bird template over your sketched design and apply a small amount of glue to your starting area.
- Arrange your rainbow glass fragments to build your bird design. Keep adding glue and layering the fragments over until your wonky bird is filled with colour.
- Once you’re happy with your design, leave your rainbow bird somewhere safe to dry for 24 hours.
- Carefully wrap your rainbow bird decoration in paper towel and pop it back into the box.
- Complete the return address slip and send your creations back to our Essex glass fusing studio for firing.
Top tip: Please take a picture of your finished design before placing it back into the box. This will give us a reference to work from if any fragments shift during your bird’s journey back to us.
when can I expect my finished fused glass bird decoration ?
You can expect your finished decoration to be returned to you within 2-3 weeks. After an extremely hot kiln firing, we’ll add a hanging ring, ribbon, and dangly wire legs, so your bird decoration is ready to display or gift as soon as it arrives on your doorstep.

Our fused glass kits have been designed for adults because they contain raw, unfired glass which can cause injury if handled incorrectly. However, older children can take part under close supervision.

Care for your product
To keep your wonky products looking lovely, wipe them gently with a damp cloth and dry with a cotton tea towel.
Handle your molten wonky products carefully, they are all made from fused glass and are breakable. If this happens please be careful of sharp fragments.

We know you'll love your purchase but just in case you change your mind you have fourteen days after delivery to return your goods.
