what can I make with this flower-themed suncatcher kit?
With this make your own suncatcher kit, you’ll get to create two fused glass suncatchers:
- One long piece measuring approximately 5 x 20 cm
- One smaller piece measuring approximately 4 x 10 cm
When finished, you can hang them in a window or your favourite sunny spot. Watch them cast soft colours and springtime energy all across your home. This is our favourite part of getting crafty… getting to see your work on display!

This DIY suncatcher kit features everything you need to get crafting and creating. Open your box to reveal…
- Step-by-step instructions
- Paper for sketching your flower suncatcher designs (or skip this step and go freehand!)
- PVA glue and lolly stick for application
- An generous mix of floral glass fragments, rods, and millefiori
- Tweezers (a lifesaver for placing the fiddly glass pieces!)
- Clear glass templates for both suncatcher sizes
- Name and return address slip (you’ll need to send your suncatchers back to us so we can turn them into ready-to-hang decorations)
Each kit is slightly different from the next, filled with hand-cut templates and themed glass fragments. The result? Completely one-of-a-kind suncatcher designs that belong only to you.
how to use your flower garden suncatcher kit
Once your kit arrives, carefully unpack everything onto a clean work surface. Keep hold of any packaging. You’ll need it to return your suncatchers back to us.
Ready? Follow the simple steps below. Just add a cuppa and your imagination, and you’ll be good to go.
- Using the glass suncatcher templates as outlines, sketch your flower suncatcher designs onto the sketching paper provided. You can go for floral patterns, meadow scenes, or you can even skip this step and go freehand! There are no right or wrong answers here.
- Place each glass template over its sketched design and apply a small amount of glue to your chosen starting area.
- Arrange the floral-themed glass fragments onto the glued section of the glass template. Keep adding glue and layering the fragments over the top until your suncatchers have turned into mini flower gardens.
- When you’re finished, leave your suncatchers somewhere safe to bloom (dry) for 24 hours.
- Carefully wrap up your suncatchers in paper towel, and pop them back into the box.
- Fill out the return address slip and send your creations back to our Essex glass fusing studio for firing.
Top tip: Take a picture of your suncatcher designs before popping them back into the box. This will give us a reference to work from if any pieces shift on their way to us.
when will I receive my finished suncatchers?
You can expect your floral suncatchers to be returned to you within 2-3 weeks.
Once they land at molten wonky HQ, we’ll kiln-fire them at an extremely high temperature to fuse all of the colourful fragments into two smooth, finished decorations. We’ll then add hanging rings and ribbons, ready for you to display or gift them to loved ones.

Handle your molten wonky products carefully, they are all made from fused glass and are breakable. If this happens please be careful of sharp fragments.
