This tree-themed glass fusing kit includes everything you need to get started, including:
- Step-by-step instructions
- Paper for sketching your tree design
- PVA glue and lolly stick for application
- A generous and unique mix of green and brown glass fragments, rods, and millefiori
- Tweezers for placing smaller pieces
- A clear glass template for your tree picture
- Name and return address slip (so we can fire your creations in our kiln!)
No two designs are ever the same thanks to our make at home glass fusing kits. And that’s exactly how we like it.
how to use your DIY fused glass kit
Once your kit has arrived, carefully remove everything from the box and place onto a clean work surface. Keep all of the packaging safe. You’ll need it to return your design to us for firing!
When you’re ready, follow the steps below to create your very own glass tree decoration:
- Sketch your tree design onto the sketching paper. Will you go for a classic leafy tree, a wintry silhouette, or something completely abstract? All creative ideas are welcome.
- Place the glass template over your sketched design and apply a small amount of glue to your starting area. You can also skip this step and go freehand if you’re feeling confident!
- Arrange your glass fragments, rods, and millefiori to build out your unique tree design.
- When you’re finished, leave your tree picture somewhere safe to dry for 24 hours.
- Once dry, carefully wrap your tree picture up in paper towel and pop it back into the box.
- Fill out the return address slip and send your creations back to our Essex glass fusing studio for firing!
Top tip: We recommend taking a picture of your finished design before you place it back in the box. This will give us a reference to work from if any pieces shift during transit.
what happens at the studio?
Once we receive your DIY glass tree decoration at our Essex studio, Katie will pop it in the kiln at an extremely high temperature. This heating process will turn your decoration into a smooth finished piece ready for display or gifting.
We’ll then add a hanging ring and ribbon, so your glass tree decoration will be ready to display as soon as it arrives back to you.
You can expect your finished piece to be returned back to you within 2-3 weeks, where it will catch the light and bring marvellous, nature-inspired calm to your space.
DISCLAIMER

Care for your product
To keep your wonky products looking lovely, wipe them gently with a damp cloth and dry with a cotton tea towel.
Handle your molten wonky products carefully, they are all made from fused glass and are breakable. If this happens please be careful of sharp fragments.
Katie does offer a "fix it service" starting at £10. Please email to see if she can help.
