DIY mini glass love hearts: flower garden
This make-at-home glass fusing kit has everything you need to create three adorable love heart decorations. The flower garden design is perfect for brightening up any space, so pop ‘em in the window to catch the light, dangle from a cabinet, or spruce up your living room wall.

what does the mini love heart glass fusing kit include?
With this kit, you can make three fused glass heart decorations, each one measuring around 6x7cm. Our DIY glass fusing kit has everything you need, from hand-cut templates to a variety of bright and beautiful glass pieces.
Inside your kit, you’ll find:
- Easy-to-follow instructions
- Paper for sketching your design on
- PVA glue and a lolly stick to apply it with
- A generous bag of unique, brightly coloured glass frits, rods and fragments
- Tweezers for picking up and positioning the smaller fragments.
- Three clear glass love heart templates
- Stickers to mark where your decorations will hang from
- A name and return address label so we can return your creation to you once it’s been fired in the kiln
Add a cuppa and some imagination, and you’ll be good to go!
how to make your three glass love hearts
Once your glass fusing kit arrives in the post, carefully open it and set out the contents on a clear table or workspace. You may wish to sort the glass fragments into shapes and colours so you can see what you’re working with. Now, you’re ready to design and create your fused glass hearts.
- Use the clear glass hearts as a template to draw three outlines on your paper. You can then design your flower garden pattern.
- Lay one glass template over one of your designs and add a small amount of glue.
- Add your glass fragments, frits and stringers however you like to make your flower design. If you want, you can add glass on top of glass — just make you glue it down well.
- Repeat the process for the other two glass hearts.
- Set your work aside somewhere safe and let it dry for at least 24 hours.
- Pop one of the stickers to the top of each glass love heart so we can add a hanging ring for display.
- Wrap your glass hearts in kitchen roll or paper and gently place them back inside the box your kit arrived in. Please also pack the tweezers and any leftover glass pieces.
- Write your name and address on the return paper, then place everything into the envelope with the molten wonky address on it, and send it off in the post.
Top tip: We recommend taking a quick snap of your finished work before packaging it up. This means that, if any glass fragments become loose in the post, we can put everything back in the right place before firing your designs in the kiln.
how long does it take to get your completed fused glass hearts?
When your glass love hearts arrive at the molten wonky studio, we’ll fire them in the kiln to fuse the design then add rings and ribbon so you can display your art. You should receive your fused glass hearts within 2-3 weeks.
