Welcome spring with some cosy crafting. Our wonky bird glass fusing kit has everything you need to create an adorable character in beautiful springtime colours. All you need is a cup of tea and some imagination. Follow the straightforward instructions to make your very own fused glass art.
what do molten wonky glass fusing kits include?
We want to spread the joy of glass fusing, so we’ve put together full kits that you can enjoy in the comfort of your own home. Every kit has been curated with creativity in mind and is completely unique, with a hand-cut template.
Your wonky bird glass fusing kit also contains:
- Detailed, easy-to-follow instructions
- Paper for sketching on
- PVA glue and a lolly stick for application
- A generous bag of unique glass frits, rods and fragments
- Handy tweezers for picking up the smaller fragments
- Clear glass templates, measuring approximately 10cm x 13cm
- A name and return address label so we can return your lovely bird to you
how to make your spring wonky bird
Once you’ve ordered your DIY fused glass kit, we’ll pop it in the post. When it arrives, carefully open the box and unpack it onto a clean work surface.
If you like, you can sort the glass into shapes and colours — some people enjoy this as part of the creative process.
Then it’s time to:
- Draw around the glass template onto the supplied paper and sketch out your design. It’s your fused glass art, so go with whatever you fancy! Patterned, abstract, stripey… The choice is yours.
- Lay the glass template over your design and add some glue, a little at a time.
- Add your glass fragments, frits and stringers however you choose. You can add glass on top of glass, just make sure it is glued down.
- Leave your work somewhere safe to dry for 24 hours.
- Add one of the stickers to the top of your work so we can add a hanging ring for display.
- Wrap your glass work in kitchen roll or paper and carefully pack it back in the box, then write your name and address on the return paper. Please also include the tweezers and any leftover glass.
- Place the box in the white envelope with Katie's address on it, and send it off in the post.
Top tip: Take a picture of your work for reference in case it becomes loose in the post. That way, we can take a look and pop it all back in place so it matches your vision before it goes in the kiln.
how long does it take to receive your completed fused glass bird?
Once your fused glass art kit returns to us, we’ll fire it and add rings and ribbon so you can hang it up and admire your handiwork. We’ll also add some wire legs as a final flourish.
We’ll then get your fused glass bird back to you within 2-3 weeks for you to enjoy.

Care for your product
To keep your wonky products looking lovely, wipe them gently with a damp cloth and dry with a cotton tea towel.
Handle your molten wonky products carefully, they are all made from fused glass and are breakable. If this happens please be careful of sharp fragments.

Returns Policy
We know you'll love your purchase but just in case you change your mind you have fourteen days after delivery to return your goods.
The return item must be in its original condition, with all packaging materials, manuals, and any accessories intact.
