Who says robins are just for Christmas? With our robin fused glass kit, you can make your very own glass robin decoration, perfect for displaying all year round. He’s full of charm and has a wonderfully wonky personality, no matter where you pop him.
what can I create with this make at home fused glass kit?
With this fused glass kit, you’ll get to design your very own fused glass robin hanging decoration, measuring approximately 10 x 7cm. This doesn’t include his delightfully dangly legs. We’ll add those for you later!
You can build your robin decoration using a unique mix of fused glass fragments. He’ll look perfect on your Christmas tree, your favourite window, or as a thoughtful gift for a loved one.

This glass fusing kit includes everything you need to bring your robin to life. Open your kit box and you’ll find…
- Step-by-step instructions
- Paper for sketching your robin design (or skip this step and go freehand!)
- PVA glue and lolly stick for application
- A unique mix of glass frits, rods, and fragments in red, black, brown and white colours
- Tweezers (for placing the smaller pieces!)
- A clear glass robin template, plus beak and tail pieces
- Name and return address slip (you’ll need to send your robin decoration back to us for firing)
We make sure that each kit is slightly different from the next, whether that due to the size of the fragments, the hand-cut robin templates, or subtle colour variations. This means that every DIY robin decoration you create will be completely unique.
how to use your fused glass robin decoration kit
When you’re ready to begin, carefully unbox the contents of your kit onto a clean work surface. Make sure to keep any packaging handy — you’ll need it to return your robin decoration back to us!
Once you’ve got a cuppa to hand and your creative imagination activated, follow the simple steps below…
- Using the glass robin template as an outline, draw your chosen robin design onto the sketching paper provided. Alternatively, you can skip this step and go freehand.
- Place the glass template over your sketched design and apply a small amount of glue to your chosen starting area.
- Arrange the coloured glass fragments and rods onto the glued sections of the glass template. Keep adding glue and layering the glass pieces over the top until your robin springs to life.
- Attach the beak and tail pieces.
- Leave your robin somewhere safe to dry for 24 hours.
- Carefully wrap your robin up in paper towel, and pop him back into the box.
- Complete return address slip and send your robin hanging decoration back to our Essex glass fusing studio for firing.
Top tip: Take a picture of your design before popping the decoration back into the box. This will give us a reference to work from if any pieces shift on their way to us.
when will I receive my finished glass robin decoration?
We will return your finished robin decoration to you within 2-3 weeks.
Once your robin flies to the molten wonky HQ, we’ll kiln-fire him at an extremely high temperature to transform him into a smooth, glossy, ready-to-hang decoration! We’ll then add a hanging ring, ribbon, and his wonderfully wonky wire legs to bring him to life.
Whether you display him or gift him, he'll surely bring a dash of charm and whimsy to any space.

Care for your product
To keep your wonky products looking lovely, wipe them gently with a damp cloth and dry with a cotton tea towel.
Handle your molten wonky products carefully, they are all made from fused glass and are breakable. If this happens please be careful of sharp fragments.
