Our glass bird ornaments are inspired by Katie’s love of watching real-life flocks swoop and soar. In fact, it’s the best part of her long dog walks with Flo, her three-legged companion.
Our birds might not take flight in the traditional sense, but they do promise to give a sense of movement, quirky colour, and joy wherever they roam!
how we make our fused glass birds
Each bird, whether it’s our green birdy bird or yellow chick, starts with a clear glass base. Katie then adds hand-cut wings and tails, layering with glass frits, ribbons, and strings to create the unique personality of each two-winged friend.
The finished design is then fired in the kiln at a super hot temperature, resulting in a vibrant flock of glass birds that our customers can enjoy for years to come.
