what do molten wonky glass fusing kits include?
We’ve made our glass fusing kits for anyone who wants to try glass fusing but can’t get to our Essex studio. Our kits are handmade from the very beginning, including everything from hand-cut templates to a hand-selected bag of colourful glass frits, rods, and millefiori flowers for designing your bird.

- PVA glue and a lolly stick
- A full bag of unique glass frits, rods, and fragments
- Tweezers (for picking up the smaller pieces!)
- Clear glass templates
- A name and return address label so we can return your hanging bird decoration to you after kiln firing
how to make your flower garden wonky bird
Ready to make your flower garden wonky bird decoration? Grab a cuppa and follow the steps below. Just make sure to enjoy every step of the process:
- Carefully open the kit box onto a clean work surface. Don’t throw the packaging away — you’ll need it to send your creation back to us!
- Optional: Sort the glass fragments into different shapes and colours, depending on the design you’d like to create. You don’t have to do this step, but some people enjoy this as part of the creative process.
- Optional: Put the glass bird template on top of the sketching paper and draw an outline. You can then draw out a rough design to follow. Lay the glass template over your sketched paper design when you’re done. You can also go abstract and skip this step if you’d prefer.
- Add a small amount of glue to the glass template, and add the glass fragments, frits, and stringers over the top however you fancy.
- Keep repeating this process until your flower garden wonky bird has been brought to life. Leave to dry for 24 hours.
- Carefully wrap your work in paper towel, complete the return slip, pop everything back in the box (including tweezers and spare glass), and send it back to us.
Top tip: Don’t forget to take a picture of your work when you’re done! This is just in case it becomes loose in the post. That way, we can make sure everything is in place when we send your finished bird decoration back to you.
how long will you have to wait for your flower garden wonky bird?
Once we receive your design, we’ll fire your marvellous wonky bird in the kiln, add some hanging ribbon and dangly wire legs, and send it straight to you within two to three weeks.

Care for your product
To keep your wonky products looking lovely, wipe them gently with a damp cloth and dry with a cotton tea towel.
Handle your molten wonky products carefully, they are all made from fused glass and are breakable. If this happens please be careful of sharp fragments.
