Meet the Marvellous Makers

This is a very special opportunity for you to meet and see how all five of the Marvellous Makers, make and create their gorgeous handmade work.

We are the Marvellous Makers and are a collective of five friends who have hosted four events in Sewards End Village Hall and have raised more than £1,500 for local charities.

Our founder members, set up in 2021, are Claire from Claire Folkes Ceramics, Helen from Helen Wiseman Illustration and Kate from Kate Keller Baskets with Justine from Chilli Designs Jewellery and Katie from molten wonky  joining them a year later.  Each of us have own businesses that we run as sole traders but together we form the ‘Marvellous Makers’.

The events we host champion the best local artists and makers in the area and we now have a good strong following of lovely customers who appreciate handmade.  We undertand that many of our customers enjoy seeing and learning how we design and create our handmade products so we decided to put on an event to show you how we do it !  

We are really looking forward to holding our first ‘Meet the Makers’ event at the molten wonky studio. Here you will get the chance to see the 5 of us working on our creations.  It's a chance for you to talk to any, and all 5 of us in a relaxed and creative enviroment.

You will beable to see us all in action : Claire of Claire Folkes Ceramics will be throwing wonderful pots on her potters wheel, Kate Keller will be crocheting her beautiful baskets, Helen of Helen Wiseman Illustration will be painting beautiful flowers, Justine of Chilli Designs will be making her stunning silver jewellery and Katie will is in her home territory making her lovely fused glass pieces.

The event is on Saturday June 29th from 10 till 4pm at Molten Wonky Studio, Bumpstead Road,Hempstead CB10 2PP (See "find us" for directions above) 

Parking on site, free tea and coffee (and a loo)

We will all have items for sale. Cash or card payments accepted.
