Make your own bunting with a molten wonky twist. Our DIY fused glass kit contains everything you need to create stunning glass bunting to brighten up your home. Decorate five cute glass squares with an array of colourful fragments, and you’ll have a one-of-a-kind bunting set.
This glass bunting kit has been creatively curated to help you design a charming flower garden pattern.
what does the flower garden glass bunting kit include?
Inside your glass fusing kit, you’ll find not one, but five hand-cut glass squares, ready for decorating. Once complete, they can be displayed individually or strung together on some ribbon to make gorgeous glass bunting.
Along with your five square templates, you’ll find:
- Beginner-friendly instructions
- Plain paper for sketching your design
- PVA glue and a lolly stick for easy application
- A whole host of brightly coloured glass frits, rods and fragments
- Tweezers to help you pick up the smaller pieces
- Stickers to mark where your decorations will hang from
- A return address label so we can send your glass bunting back to you once it’s been fired in the kiln
how to make your fused glass bunting
Carefully open your DIY glass fusing kit, and set the contents out on a table or worksurface. If you fancy, you can sort the glass fragments into shapes and colours (some people enjoy this as part of the creative process).
Once you’ve got everything for your glass bunting ready, you’re good to go:
- Use the clear glass squares as a template to draw outlines on your paper. You can then design your flower garden pattern. You might like to make each bunting square the same or change up the flower design for each one.
- Lay one glass template over one of your designs and add a small amount of glue.
- Add your colourful glass fragments to build up your flower design. You can layer glass on top of glass, but make sure it’s glued down securely.
- Repeat the process for your other four glass bunting squares.
- Pop your work somewhere safe and let the glue dry for at least 24 hours.
- Add a sticker to the top of each glass square. This shows us where you want the hanging ring for display.
- Place your glass bunting squares inside the box your kit arrived in, making sure you wrap each one in kitchen roll or tissue paper to keep it safe. Please also pack the tweezers and any glass pieces you have left over.
- Write your name and address on the return paper, place everything inside the envelope with the molten wonky address on it, and send it off in the post.
Top tip: Before packaging up your glass bunting designs, take a photo for reference. If any fragments get dislodged en route back to the molten wonky studio, we’ll be able to look at the picture and put everything back in the right place before firing your bunting in the kiln.
when will you get your glass bunting back?
Once your glass bunting designs get back to us, we’ll fire them in the kiln. This fuses your coloured glass design to the clear glass templates, creating a beautiful finish. We’ll then add rings and ribbon so you can display your handiwork.
You’ll generally receive your finalised fused glass bunting within 2-3 weeks.

Our DIY glass fusing kits are designed for adults. They contain raw, unfired glass, which can be sharp, so we don’t recommend them for young children. If older children would like to have a go at making fused glass bunting, please make sure they are supervised by an adult at all times.
Always take care when handling glass and, after you have created your design, ensure your work surface is fully cleared and wiped down to remove any sharp fragments.
Care for your product
To keep your wonky products looking lovely, wipe them gently with a damp cloth and dry with a cotton tea towel.
Handle your molten wonky products carefully, they are all made from fused glass and are breakable. If this happens please be careful of sharp fragments.
